Democratic Party of Illinois to consider 2020 Delegate Selection Plan

Chicago – The Democratic Party of Illinois today announced it will meet to consider approval of the 2020 Delegate Selection Plan on Monday, April 29, in Springfield.

The meeting of the Democratic Party of Illinois will include the members of the party’s State Central Committee. It will be held from 2-4 p.m. in the Rendezvous Room of the Wyndham Hotel, 700 E. Monroe St.

The purpose of the meeting will be to consider the Draft State Delegate Selection Plan for the 2020 Democratic National Convention, which will be held in Milwaukee from July 13-16, 2020.

The Draft State Delegate Selection Plan was released on March 26 and posted at the Democratic Party of Illinois website for a 30-day public comment period. The Plan will also be reviewed by the Democratic National Committee.
